Staffing makes all the difference. Teams of paid and volunteer leaders shape the culture of the congregation and impact congregations and families. Every community of faith should staff strategically, looking for gifted people who can help fulfill the mission and the vision of the congregation.

One of the best ways congregations can use their resources is to compensate their staff appropriately. This includes funds for continuing education, health benefits and pension. When congregations minimize their financial commitment to their staff, they compromise the ministry.
